Project Sumak Allpa

Hector Vargas joined Su Sigrist and Amazon Superfoods touring five US cities in September, 2007.  Hector's presentation on the history and current situation in the Ecuadorian Amazon was enthusiastically received.  If you were not able to attend one of these presentations, click here to view Hector's slides.

He is past
secretary of the
Amazon Defense
Front, co-author
of the book
Amazon Worlds. He was also featured in Discovery Channel's The Road Of Orellana and is founder of The Omaere Ethno-botanical Garden in Puyo. He is the founder and current director of the SUMAK ALLPA PROJECT, a non-profit foundation based in the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador.
