 DIGESTAZON PLUS
Digestazon - plus nine digestive enzymes

  • Aides digestion and nutrient absorption
  • Helps maintain healthy intestinal flora
  • Stimulates liver function
  • Helps ease intestinal bloating and digestive discomfort

Digestive enzymes work by breaking down large particles of food into smaller particles, preparing the food for optimal digestion in the intestines. When food is not properly chewed and broken down in the stomach by digestive enzymes, large particles of food travel in the intestine and become food for unfriendly bacteria. These bacteria produce wastes that can be absorbed into the blood and burden the body. Poor digestion has been associated with sleeplessness, poor skin, fatigue and poor quality of life. Digestive enzymes allow optimal digestion and absorption of nutrients in the intestine.

When the digestive system is challenged by the presence of toxins in the intestine – a situation that is very common when people drink sodas, eat processed foods, take anti-inflammatory drugs or aspirin, the wall of the intestine may become permeable and microscopic particles of food may cross the intestinal wall and end up in the blood.

At times such food particles can stimulate the immune system which then recognizes these particles as foreign matter, leading to the production of antibodies. These antibodies seek similar food particles and bind to them. The agglomeration of antibodies and particles is called “immune complexes.”

Normally the role of immune complexes is to attract the immune system into an “infected area” and trigger inflammation locally in order to facilitate the circulation of immune cells within this area. When immune complexes are formed without an infection to combat, they circulate in the blood and are eventually caught in a given tissue where they trigger inflammation. If they end up in a joint, they can trigger a form of arthritis: in the skin, lupus or other forms of skin inflammation: in arteries, arteriosclerosis: etc.

Many health problems related to inflammation find their cause in a poor digestive system and the circulation of free immune complexes.

Digestive enzymes eaten between meals allow for the absorption of enzymes into the bloodstream where they can digest and break down such undesirable particles.

Digestive enzymes are also widely used to manage the inflammation associated with injuries and bruises and to accelerate recovery after strenuous exercise. When there is an injury involving bruising or tearing of tissues, blood vessels are broken and debris accumulate at the site of injury. This debris indirectly triggers local inflammation. Digestive enzymes will facilitate the breakdown of this debris, optimizing tissue regeneration and health.*
