     Yerba Mate is used to stimulate the nervous system and enhance physical and mental energy. It has been shown to cleanse the blood, stimulate the mind, and enhance the effects of other herbs. Traditionally Yerba Mate is used for weight loss, arthritis, headache, fatigue, stress, constipation, hemorrhoids, allergies and hay fever.

     Our wild Yerba Maté is harvested from trees in the Araucaria Forest of Brazil. This forest is part of a healthy ecosystem that is harvested ecologically. Yerba Maté is used by the gauchos in Brazil and Paraguay as an energizer*. It contains mateine, a compound similar to caffeine but unlike caffeine in that it is considered by many health-conscious consumers to be non-habit-forming*. 

    Rainforest Matté Tea is a blend of Yerba Mate with our Rainforest Treasure Tea. This is a wonderful energizer, with a slightly bitter taste, similar to Green Tea. If you like your herbal tea sweeter, try adding a few drops of our Stevia liquid.

Ingredients: Yerba Maté, Tahari, Chanca Piedra, Stevia, and Chuchuhuasi, as well as strong concentrates of Jatoba and Uña de Gato.
