The Amazing Power of Amazon Herbs

by Terry L. Wilson
INSIDE KUNG FU MAGAZINE
November, 2002

For centuries the healing arts have been an integral part of the martial arts.  Nowhere was this more evident than at the Shaolin Monastery in China.  The fighting prowess of the Shaolin monks was equaled only by their ability to harness the healing powers provided by Mother Nature's medicine cabinet.

Over the years I've heard numerous stories about these mysterious herbs and roots and how if mixed properly can produce teas, powders and ointments to cure a potpourri of illnesses and injuries.  However, it wasn't until recently that I learned first hand how effective the Shaolin recipes could really be.

While teaching a jiu-jitsu seminar in Carson City, Nev., a student took a hard fall that produced one of the nastiest bruises I've ever seen.  Her arm instantly swelled and turned black and blue.  She went for medical treatment and the doctor told her that she would be off the mat for a year.  The brown belt merely smiled as f she knew something none of use knew and proclaimed, "It won't be that long.  I heal fast."

Proof Positive
Less than a week later, she showed up at the dojo and to my astonishment her arm was practically healed.  When I asked what kind of voodoo she practiced, Sue Firtz laughed and said, "Voodoo didn't fix my arm.  Recovazon did."

It turned out that Fritz was taking products from the Amazon Herb Company, two of which are made from ancient Shaolin monk recipes.  "Recovazon" contains a blend of plants, roots and herbs that the monks used to heal injuries like the one Fritz suffered.

I drank one ounce of Recovazon a day for ten days and put it topically onto my arm," said Fritz.  "My doctor was amazed to see that all external bruising was gone in five days.  He said that I'd be off the mat for several months and have restricted sparring for one year.  To his amazement, I was back on the mat in three weeks and back to full sparring in five weeks."

Opening Chi Channels
Shortly after seeing Recovazon in action I met with several Shaolin monks when they performed in San Diego, California.  I asked them what made this product to special.

Through a translator they told me that the components of Recovazon reopen chi channels and allow the energy stuck in tight muscles and injuries to break loose and begin a natural flow.

"Chi or energy stuck in muscles and joints from intense workouts or injuries consolidates and crystallizes in the form of lactic, uric and pyruvic acids," one of the performing Shaolin monks said.  "This results in pain, soreness and stiff muscles and joints.  We have used these herbs for centuries to allow our bodies to heal on a cellular level.  It also transforms the acids into energy for the body to use."

Journey to Health
The journey leading to Recovazon and other such herbs finding their way to the United States is as amazing as the product itself.  John Easterling spent years searching the Amazon Rainforest for artifacts and native goods that he would sell to collectors and museums.  During one of his treks deep into the jungle Easterling fell victim to a life-threatening fever and exhaustion complicated by a battle with chronic fatigue brought on by rocky Mountain Spotted fever and hepatitis.

"I was on the riverbank with my dugout canoe - sweating, chilled and exhausted with jungle fever when the Shipibo Indians found me," said Easterling.  "They gook me to their village and offered me a drink made of roots and powder that had been pounded into a tea.  I drank a liter of the brew, and by morning the fever was broken.  And, with in days a lifetime of chronic health problems had been overcome.  I realized then and there that the real treasure of the Rainforest wasn't in gemstones and ancient artifacts, the real treasure was the jungle itself."

Easterling began working with the Rainforest tribes to learn more about these "magic" herbs.  Eventually he formed "The Amazon Herb Company" and began importing a variety of products including "Recovazon" and "Warrior".

"Warrior" is another Shaolin monk recipe that Easterling incorporated into his line.  Warrior improves circulation in muscles in general, but its real benefit kicks in about 15 minutes after the body has warmed up.  This cardiovascular benefit of Warrior is felt as a strong sense of concentrated power, strength and focus.  Motion becomes more fluid, energy glow constant and mental focus clear.
The effects last for several hours; thus the athlete has increased endurance.  The energy is channeled through the solar plexus and out the second chakra.  Warrior allows for more intense, focused workouts and Recovazon allows for more frequent workouts, since turnaround and recovery time is faster.

Shaolin Secrets
The original Shaolin temple formulas were discovered by one of the Amazon Herb scientists in an ancient manuscript of secret formulas of Shaolin martial artists.  Amazon Herb Co. took these ancient formulas and enhanced them with the knowledge gained from centuries of wisdom of the Amazon Shamans. to produce Warrior and Recovazon.

The herb formulas are a blend of the best Chinese and Amazon Rainforest herbs and processed by a "Spagyric extract formula," which is a plant alchemy process developed in 18th-century Europe.  This spagyric formula retains the plants original constitution, while enhancing the strength, focus, absorbability, and healing potential of the plant.  The alchemists believed ingesting plants processed in this manner transferred the vital energy and healing qualities of the plants to people.

Recent technology has made it possible to actually measure the life force of plants.  Dr. Linda Hegstrand (medical director of the Blue Heron Academy in Grand Rapids, Mich.) has tested and verified that all Amazon Herb products consistently score with the very highest of life-force ratings.

"Amazon Herbs are truly awesome in both their energetic and nutrient content," said Dr. Hegstrand.

Playing Catch-Up
Modern science is just starting to catch up with what the Shaolin monks had learned and mastered centuries earlier.  History is filled with numerous tales and scrolls recounting the Shaolin's superhuman-like energy and endurance.  The orange-clad warriors credited their feats with their ability to stay focused and to the herb teas they drank.

Fritz has been taking the same formula that monks of old used and getting similar results.

"I take a trio of herbs that kick butt in the energy department," said Fritz.  "I take them before every workout; it transforms me into the martial art version of the Energizer Bunny.  The Rainforest Treasure Tea helps with clarity and recovery, it's full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories.  Between the Rainforest Treasure Tea and the Energy and Performance Pack, which includes the Shaolin formulas of Recovazon, Warrior and two other high-energy formulas, I stay healthy and full of energy.  I honestly attribute my energy and stamina on the mat to Amazon Herbs."

Todd McNaughton, a 35-year old Shaolin kemp kung fu stylist from San Francisco, is another martial artist that learned first hand of Amazon Herbs amazing healing powers.

"I had some cracked ribs that were taking forever to heal and I had a competition coming up but the sports physician I went to said it would take at least another six weeks before my ribs would be healed," said McNaughton.  "The I heard about the Amazon Herbs and I gave them a try even though I was very skeptical.  I really didn't have high expectations but in six days my ribs were 95-percent healed and I was able to enter the tournament.  The results I get from Recovazon, Warrior, and Treasure Tea are nothing short of amazing.

Cat Tales
People aren't the only ones who have benefited from the Shaolin monk's ancient recipe for health and well-being.  Recovazon has also done some amazing things for animals too.  Take the case of two baby tigers in Montana.  They were rescued from a sideshow.  Unfortunately, they were going to be put down due to their poor health.  Although the rescue center tried their best to nurse the animals back to health their ravaged bodies didn't respond to the medical assistance given them.  Their back legs were useless.

The plight of the tigers caught the attention of the Amazon Herb people.  They provided pounds and pounds of herbs for the tigers and within three  months Recovazon and Warrior had worked another miracle.  The tigers were completely healed, they were jumping around, they put on weight and have now grown into a pair of healthy, playful tigers.

Amazing?  No, just the amazing power of Amazon Herbs.
