Quebra pedra fortifies the liver and gallbladder and helps clear system obstructions. It helps with viruses of the reproductive organs and hepatitis. It is an immune system stimulator. It helps eliminate mucous and stones from the kidney, gallbladder and urinary tracts. It also increases bile production, soothes the liver and disperses calcification

REHMANNIA (DI-HUANG) Rehmannia glutinosa

Rehmannia is commonly used in clinics in the orient and is called di-huang, or "yellow earth."  It is used to replenish vital force and helps with diabetes, constipation, urinary tract problems, anemia, dizziness, and regulating menstrual flow.  It is protective to the liver and helps prevent the depletion of stored glycogen, which can make it beneficial for hypoglycemia.

Di-huang has an anti-fungal effect and has been used for candida. It can lower glucose levels and helps to reduce blood pressure while increasing circulation to the brain. It is a blood tonic and diuretic. It helps strengthen the bones and tissue and can enhance fertility. Chinese doctors have used it with licorice for the treatment of hepatitis.  Rehmannia helps disperse heat from the body and alleviates night sweats and fevers.

SANGRE de DRAGO Croton lechleri

Sangre de Drago is Spanish for "Blood of the Dragon". It is a medium to large sized tree growing 10 to 20 meters in height and is found throughout the Amazon region.

Sangre de Drago has been documented with antimicrobial and wound healing properties. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and has anti-viral properties.  The dried sap of Sangre de Drago was shown to be 90% pure proanthocyanidins, which are powerful antioxidant compounds. Additionally, Sangre de Drago was researched for two drug applications.  One, an oral product for the treatment of respiratory viral infections, and the
another, a topical antiviral product for the treatment of herpes.

The local people use Sangre de Drago internally as well as externally for wounds, leucorrhea and fractures.  It is also used to treat intestinal and stomach ulcers and piles. It helps with breast and lung tumors, and can promote lactation. It has been shown to be excellent for diabetes. Perhaps the most interesting news is that the new "AIDS" drug "Compound Q" is a refined protein called trichonanthine which is derived from the trichosanthes (snakegourd) family. It has been shown that the protein has the ability to kill an "HIV" infected cell without affecting surrounding tissue.

STEVIA Rebaudiana bertoni

Stevia has been used by South American Indians as a sweetening agent. It is helpful for weight loss programs because it can satisfy sugar cravings and is low in calories. It is supportive to the pancreas and has been used in treatment of diabetes, hypertension and infections.

Suma has been used to help many chronic diseases including leukemia, arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, mononucleosis, candida, hypoglycemia, Epstein Barr Syndrome, high cholesterol, and the early stages of cancer. UÑA DE GATO Uncaria tomeritosa

Uña de Gato from the Peruvian rainforest is a favorite for stimulating the immune system. World wide research done on this powerful herb has led scientists to patent many of the single chemicals found in it for use in healing cancer, arthritis, AIDS and other diseases. However, traditional wisdom shows that using the whole plant can be far more powerful than any one isolated ingredient. Dr. Brent W. Davis referred to Uña de Gato as "the opener of the way" because of its remarkable ability to cleanse the entire intestinal tract. Because of this ability, Uña de Gato can be used for Crohn's Disease, hemorrhoids, parasites, leaky bowel syndrome, ulcers, gastritis, allergic disorders, diverticulitis, stabilizing intestinal flora and other gastro-intestinal issues.

Uña do Gato is also a powerful anti-inflammatory which makes it very useful for arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. It also helps to increase lymphocyte and microphage production, tonify the blood, and can be used as a broad spectrum infection fighter. Uña de Gato also helps repair the lipid matrix in the cell walls and is particularity good for stopping the expansion of virus laden cells.

At the University of Milan, Renato Rizzi led an experiment with Uña de Gato as it relates to cancer causing (mutagenic) substances in smokers. It is well known that the urine of smokers contains mutagenic substances. When given Uña de Gato for two weeks, the smoker's urine returned to normal. This is important because it shows Uña de Gato can help lessen the risk of developing cancers and other degenerative diseases.

Wild Yam Root Dioscoreae oppositae

These tubers have been used in some cultures as a coffee substitute. It helps support the spleen, lungs and kidneys. In South America Yerba Maté is referred to as just Maté.  It is an evergreen that grows wild in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil, and most abundantly in Paraguay where it is cultivated for the world market.

Maté is tremendously popular in South America due to its ability to make people feel energized and alert, yet calm. Yerba Maté is known to relax smooth muscle.  It is this action that makes Maté useful in the treatment of asthma.  Since it also relaxes peripheral blood vessels Maté helps lower blood pressure. Yerba Maté stimulates the central nervous system, generating alertness, while inducing better sleep.

People report a range of effects of Maté, from immediate improvement in digestion to the repair of damaged gastrointestinal tissues.  Maté helps constipation by softening the feces and stimulating peristaltic action.

Some of the positive effects of Maté are contributed to its vitamin and mineral content. Maté contains significant amounts of potassium and lithium, along with folic, sulfuric, carbon, chloric and citric acids.
